Those are all so gorgeous, nominating just one for POTM is near impossible. Just cannot choose from this lot, you are all too good.

Not quite all yellow, and soaking wet but I had to get a pic of this. A bearded iris in the first year I've had it (got others I've had for 3 years and I'm still waiting! ) Gorgeous innit?

Just thought I'd add this one. These limnanthes douglasii only seem to bloom for a short while in the late winter/early summer, but they really do pack a punch, and the fact they are self-seeding means I get more and more each year. Luckily they're not spreading too far just yet...

Such sweet little flowers, aren't they? I daren't have them, I have enough trouble with the equally pretty but pesky welsh poppies.

My pretty-but-a-pain flowers are Forget-me-nots Yes,I was wondering about those as well. Last year I had some in pots that I put down the end of the garden and was surprised to see growing naturally this year. I wasn't aware they were self-seeding. Nice surprise though. Best surprise I had this year was the way the dahlia tubers I left in the ground came back up. I normaly grow my dahlias from seed, but this year's plants are now lagging badly behind the tubers which are growing with a vengeance. Ain't nature wonderful?

I've just bought this little beauty - I've been after a yellow aquilegia for a while now and had ordered "Goldfinch" from Bridgemere. We went there today but when I saw it I refused to buy it - it was dead-looking except for one leaf, no sign of new growth, and they expected me to pay £7.99 for it!! I as it's a hybrid, will it come up yellow next year, and what will it's seedlings be like?

If it comes up next year (and no reason why it shouldn't) it will still be yellow. As for the seedlings...........well who knows! Exciting innit!
