Planted my anemone bulbs last year and forgot about them. This beautiful red one appeared this week.

Aren't they a lovely flower PJ? Mine have done better this year than ever before, I think they enjoyed the wet weather we had last year.

Stunning red PJ. I have had trouble deciding which thread to put this one in but plumped for this one as the flowers are a peachy/orange whn they first open, fading to pink. (Could've started an orange/pink thread I s'pose ) Anyway, I hope you like my Lewisia edit: oh dear, I think I should've put it in pink!

Thanks for the noms folks. First pic posted with my new camera!! Tig I've never noticed if it sets seed. I usually cut the flowers off when they're over to encourage more and I propagate (not very successfully) by baby rosettes. Will leave a stem on for you this year and see what happens.

OK I'm on it Tig!! My book does say that L Cotyledon (which this is) doesn't come true. But there are some lovely colours anyway. I must not cut off the flowering stems. I must not ..........................etc etc ;D

Epimedium rubrum That's beautiful Ruthie and gets a from me. I don't know where I would put it, but I would love one of those in my garden. Love the Lewisia too - I have one but I'm still waiting for it to flower.
