It is Lychnis arkwrightii Vesuvios and this is the third time I have planted them. This particular plant has held on now for three years and I am not sure what I am doing wrong because they are really easy plants. It could of course be the temperatures in winter but this year is the first year that it has seeds so I will collect some. This is the whole plant - the leaves start off dark red and then gradually change to a greeny red. Lovely plant. RF
