Many thanks for this which is blooming at the moment. It's such a smashing colour at the front of border. I have lots of leaves but only 1 flower stem at the moment. Is it a bit early Jasmine?

Thanks Jasmine, I did think it should be autumn or early winter when it blooms but I guess it's confused with the weather we've had.

I would say it was more of a late summer / early autumn flower!

Perhaps my garden thinks that the few hot days we had at the beginning of June were the summer and it's now going into autumn mode.

No, they couldn't wait Ladygardener ! I bought 6 lilies reduced at Wyevales last year - these are 3 of them... They've been a bit bothered by lily beetle but I sprayed them and haven't seen any since.

The hot border is coming into its own now. There's a little bit of lavender from Little Carlow in amongst the red and orange! Towards the back of the picture is one of the Rudbeckia Cherokee Sunset plants that I grew from seeds Jilly sent. I love them - they've all come out different!

This is a great pic Jasmine, shame it was'nt bigger. I love the autumn colours of Cherokee Sunset too and your Helanium are great/ What is that maroon leaved plant called? I thought that was Little Carlow at the front.

That's a great combination Jasmine I love Cherokee Sunset, the 2 you sent me are both stripy but ones single & the other double, but the ones that came back from last year are a real toffee apple brown. The Gladioli really set everything else off too My Little Carlow is just starting to come out too, but the Helenium & Rudbeckia are still sulking

Thank you for the noms and kind words ladies. I don't know how to change the size of my pics now, I can only just about cope with the changes on PB and upload stuff The shrub is Cotinus Grace Ladygardener. Little Carlow has so many buds to come out - is yours in better shape now? I've noticed mildew on the pulmonaria but I dug up some daffodil bulbs the other day and the soil was so dry so far down. I'm giving everything good hose today. I have a double/triple toffee brown one too Jilly. I wasn't keen on it at first and was going to have it out but it's grown on me! The gladioli was part of a packet of 6 reduced bulbs...not sure where the others have got to

Thanks for the nom Rosefriend. Is picture size down to the camera then and not PB - you used to be able to upload your pics in the size you wanted If your camera is set to a small size then PB (as it is now) will only upload the size that your camera has. IF, however, it is only your PB settings then I can help you there Jasmine ??!! RF
