Orange & red flowers

It looks great Barbara. I'm not able to grow them here, every single one I've ever had has died so I'll have to admire from afar.

It's so cute Rosefriend, not much bigger than the size of a pelargonium flower. I hope it does well for me as I love it.

LG share some gaillardia seeds with me earlier this year, these grew from what T & M called 'hybrids'







and these are what the Razzle Dazzle turned into

You did a lot better than me Tig, despite sowing loads I have 2 plants neither of which have flowered.

I wasn't sure whether to put this on red or orange - I sowed a load of California poppies and only this one came up but what an absolute dream..the different nuances of colour are amazing"



I saw today that my Angelica gigas was flowering and was absolutely covered in flies - can't get near enough to smell it but do they pong perhaps??

I thought angelica was meant to be very, very sweet Rosefriend, so perhaps that's what's attracted the flies.

Love some, although I admit to being a bit rubbish with California Poppies, I have got some lovely pink & cream ones this year, think I put them on my thread.

I am amazed with California Poppies - so easy - I mean they are really child's play - then why are they such drama queens at times?? The orange ones grow without even sowing them - you only have to look at them - if you want something a little special they start to be like "Liz Taylor" in her heyday!!

I love them all - will try for some seeds and will take and accept any that you have...

Vuurvogel (sp) at the allotment the other day. It's so reliable and has come through a couple of very bad winters.

I was pleased to find my tithonia today - hiding in the 'jungle'



and even more pleased to spot a flower on the ratibida 'Red Midget' which I grew from seed this year - perhaps more maroon than red though

I forgot to do Tithonia this year Tig - rarely a year that I have over the last 15 or so - must make a note to myself for next year...

Yes it is LG - lovely tall plants and with grasses look gorgeous...I shall sow some more next year - if I can get them, do you want some seeds??

Ratibida 'Red Midget' is very stylish indeed Tig - wow.

Here is one of the Tiger flowers I have - I am really amazed at the beauty of them, and they have been a great performer. I will definitely be buying more.

No it is all OK for POTM's Ladygardener- it was only 15th August - that's fine with me...I don't worry about a week either way...
