Our crocuses are finishing now but these little cluster still looks nice: And every year I'm surprised at how early this azalea flowers. The whole shrub is covered in delicate flowers and it looks so pretty:

Rf you have lots of lovely colour in your garden now. That's a really colourful and striking stripy plant there and obviously very hardy now what is it I wonder.

I was afraid that someone would ask the name LG - I am terrible with names, I am afraid. It could be a Carex - there is a white and green one as well. Perhaps someone else knows.

Nice tig. I've got the first one - forgot it's name - but I'm worried about my frits though. I still haven't seen signs of new growth from any of them yet. I know the weather has been kind of weird over the past few weeks, but they should be showing new growth by now. worried-looking-smiley.

Now that you mention the name, Tig - the Snakes Head part - I'm pretty sure that was the name on the package I bought, except I bought them as small corms. I wonder where the Wikepedia folks got their names and pictures from.

This is my one purple aquilegia I bought in the bargain bin of B & Q for 40p. The first pic was taken a few days before the 2nd one which has blossom scattered around the bed which looks quite pretty. Tig, I have planted the seeds you sent me last year, promise. I don't expect any results until next year. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/wink.gif PJ

PJ that's a lovely Aqulegia, quite early too, mine are in bud but it'll be another while before they flower. I do like them both the flowers and the lovely foliage.

My aquilegias aren't anywhere near flowering yet This has got to be one of my all time favorite clematis: Wesselton - it always does well and I love how the petals have purple in the blue. It's a beauty in my opinion
