On of my favorite irises, bog standard Iris Siberica: And a hardy geranium, but I can't remember its name:

Nothing bog standard about Iris sibirica Tig. One of the most beautiful flowers IMO. You can keep the muddy pink and mauve cultivars!! Surely the Geranium is a phaeum cultivar? Certainly looks like it anyway. One of my clems is out. Can't remember the name but I think it's Ruth something. Named after one of the family members of the Thorncroft Nursery people.

Heavens I must have morphed into Plocket Ruthie ;D My little iris are still in bud - but I have some seeds to try, so that should be interesting ;D Another beautiful clematis though, I am of the opinion that they are all wonderful (ah yes I am morphing into Plocket ) x Tig

Hehe! I meant bog standard because it hasn't got a fancy name. I much prefer the Sibiricas to the Germanicas. I've still got my white one to come, and my delicate chrysographes And yes the geranium is a phaeum cultivar. I'll have to have a poke around underneath to see if I've still got the label And that is a LOVELY clematis!

Have just got back from holiday and what a difference in the garden. Had to take these 2 clems as they've really come out during the past week... Clematis Rebecca - this clem is supposed to be red but only the very new flowers are red on mine, then they seem to darken to a maroony purple. Clematis Crystal Fountain has so many flowers on it now.

The Blue Moon has quite a strong sweet scent LG, the flowers are a little bit heavy for the stems at the moment though I always despair that the camera never seems to capture the richness of deep purple / blues - I have noted that lower light levels give a better result though LG, so try taking them when the sun has gone down a bit and see if that makes any difference with your camera. I have never seen so many beautiful flowering cacti and succulents before, full of admiration for you expertise Mick.
