Thank you Jilly! It's really flowering well this year, and has been since about April I think. The flowers that are more shaded are lighter and more speckled but still have the white edge. I first saw this clematis at Wollerton Old Hall, but they weren't selling it. I can't remember where I found it now, but I grabbed it quickly when I saw it!! ;D

I'd love to say that this clem is in my garden, but it isn't, it is actually my neighbours. I'm very happy that I do get the benefit of a few flowers on my side of the fence though.

I've been at it again, so many opportunities not to be missed .... Purple one today and a little sea of purple ... Anyone else noticed that the lavender is doing brilliantly this year? Mine is masses and masses of flowers constantly being visited by bees, hoverflies and butterflies x Tig

I love your lavender Jilly. Mine has become very woody so I might try cutting it back to see if it thrives like yours. I did buy a one called Kew Red which is really purple and hope that flowers well for me. Here's my purple clematis - I can't remember the name of this one

Lovely PJ, could it be Polish Spirit? I knew I had taken a photo of this, then couldn't find where I'd saved it Monarda, lilac coloured one, nearly 4 feet tall this year! x Tig
