Sweet little face RF, I'm not sure if this should be on here or on the Blue thread, it's called Blue Bird but it looks more purple to me. Hardy Hybiscus Jillyx

These look like fringed flapper frocks at the moment x Tig That is the most gorgeous colour Tig, it looks almost iridescent. Well done with the cup & saucer vine (proper name escapes me atm) I have one left of the ones that I sowed, it's growing like mad, but no sign of a flower yet. Jillyx

Thanks for the nom for my fringed flappers Jilly ;D Someone shared that the cup & saucer vine needs to get to 6' in order to flower well, so I put it in a better place this year and it worked (cobaea scandens btw x Tig

The cobaea is quite exotic looking isn't it? Did you grow it from seed Tig? I won some in one of the word search compies so might try it next year.

Yes Jas, grew it from seed sown on 6th March this year after a couple of hours soak. I don't find them the easiest thing to germinate and only 2 came up out of the six I tried to get going But I'm not moaning now it has started to flower, even though it will be easier for you to see than it is me (nearly 6' high that flower is on the plant!) x Tig

Thanks for the noms ladies, it is a big blousey one and I am hoping to take cutting from all of them, they seem slow to get roots in their little pots of water and I'm hoping that the labels don't fall off!

What lovely flowers Jasmine I would give them a fourth nom if needed. Are they the plants that you've got in your hanging baskets?

Yes they are Jilly. They get quite long and I've ended up with them trailing on the floor from tubs so I tend to put them in hanging baskets now.
