What a beauty Jasmine, I can't grow Iris, can't give them the space they need to bake the roots without being smothered by undergrowth.
I like your leaf shaped bird water thingy

Thank you for the noms ladies I don't know about all that baking roots stuff now Jilly - I have 2 - this one is more in the shade of other plants and it is doing best. The bird thingummy was bright shiny silver when I bought it and meant for seed but as it has no hole if it rains the bird seed becomes disgusting. I was going to chuck it out but now it's gone rusty I quite like it! It catches rain water every now and again like it has in this pic.

Dare I speak to you now, your posh-ness? (heehee) Here's my new purple Roscoea. I've got cream ones, and I've been after a purple one for ages. I've also got two Geraniums out - both definitely purple! Geranium nodosum 'Blueberry Ice' I haven't found out the name of this one yet - but isn't it a lovely one! i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif

Lovely purples everyone, that last geranium looks very dainty Geranium (sounds like there's an echo in here ;D) PJ didn't I send you some seeds off my dark purple 'frilly knicker' aqualegia yonks ago? They look very similar to the ones I have growing x Tig

Couple of purples from me to go with all the other lovelies on here I love the delicate colour of this tulip and the center bit has the same colour in it. Its the last one standing in my garden. I think Lupins look at there best just as they start to flash thier colour at you

I have that clem - multi-blue - PJ. One thing I've noticed about it is that it seems to change shade depending on the time of the day and how the sun reflects off it; and I never seem to be able to capture the actual colour (that I see in the flesh, so to speak) in any picture that I take. My clems are just starting to leaf out so I won't be seeing any blooms for awhile yet.

Just checked over past messages and you sent me the seeds in 2008 and I planted them in March 2009. I still have the plant label and "Tig" written on it. My labels usually get taken away by squirrels or birds. I am really pleased with the display - the best from that sowing. So many thanks Tig!
