I've seen a thrush in the garden today - first one for absolutely ages ;D We are plagued with starlings this year - they are all roosting in some conifers which are at the side of a factory and about 70' tall - we are getting thousands every evening - and they all fly out in the morning - my car is polka dot at the moment!! Plenty of great, blue, long-tail and coal tits, robins, blackbirds, magpies, ravens and collared doves around. Here are a couple of tits snapped this morning x Tig Hiding in the shrubs Having a drink

For the first time ever, we've had a blackcap visit our garden - never seen one before.

Not quite "on the bird table" but yesterday I was at my MIL's just at the right time to see the starlings swirling around before roosting. Not as many as in Bill Oddie's memorable programme but very impressive nevertheless. We get several on the bird table but, thankfully, not THAT many!

We have a largish flock of long tails this year who swoop on the bird feeder, plunder it, then whoooooooooooooooooooooosh (bit like Jenny ) I counted 13 on the feeder together the other day and there were more in the hedge and waiting their turn in the trees. When I get my camera and carefully open the back door..........Whooooooooooooooooosh!!!! I'll get 'em one day tho'. Just have to be in the right place at the right time.
