It's strange to think of those poor people having such an awful time when the sun is out here and it's already 15c. Those coments don't sound very professional or helpful Rosefriend. It was over 20c yesterday and i think today will be similar, there's not a cloud in the sky.

We had another summers day here with temps around 25 or above. It's been just lovely and such a change for us to have such warmth.

The weather here is glorious - 25degC today and it has been for all the week. In other parts of Germany of course the flooding is still going on...because of all the rivers being so high Lower Saxony where we live is now waiting for one of the worst floods in history - or so they say. It won't affect us but we still feel very much for everyone. This was a place called Deggendorf in Baveria yesterday - only the rooves are visible.. here on the outskirts..trying to get people out of their houses... RF

It cleared about 1pm here and it's warmed up a treat, not in the shade though as the wind is still a stiff Easterly.

Haven't logged on for a few days so I'm just catching up on the thread. They haven't been making much of a news item of it here, surprisingly I think. Just one news clip. You take care RF.
The weather here has been more or less "spring-ish". The temperature has been below normal for this time of the year on a few days, but overall a good mixture of rain and sunshine. We had some very heavy showers a couple of days last week that caused some flooding and a few road closures but no real damage - just some frustrated commuters because one main roadway had to be closed to traffic for a few hours - and the flooding ran off fairly quickly. Rained quite a bit again yesterday with a forecast of some more for today but nothing yet; just heavy overcast.

The day started a bit hazy but it soon burnt off and there is a lot of blue sky with just a few white fluffy clouds. That Easterly wind is still blowing well though, I think it's supposed to be slightly cooler than yesterday, which suits me.

For us it's been a wonderful weekend which will be carrying on until Tuesday at least....the flood areas are in a mess though. All that can be done has been done in securing the rivers etc but in places the water is going to be a lot higher that ever before. OH's cousin and her family have been evacuated as the whole village in underwater - we don't know where they are as there are no phones, no electricity, no water and mobiles are aren't working either...which doesn't matter as we don't their mobile number anyway...
We just hope they are safe can rebuild or at least save the house afterwards. Reports from that areas are that some houses are up to the first floor and other up to their rooves in water....
