Great bonfire in the dark last night, old pyracanthus cuttings well dried out were the best fireworks around and all the old tree prunings and rubbish gone, just the last logs to saw now and we are getting there with the tidying,The fireworks around were so noisy the cat had to spend the night in the cellar tonight as well I suppose.

Planned to spend all wk.end in the gdn and thats what I did. Arms feel like they are going to drop off, been trimming and chopping and digging and looking and sort of planning, it still looks like there is loads to do and there is.
Feel another bonfire coming on in the week ;D ;D

Busy avoiding the ironing...that's me SL!...I shut the door on it and ran away but I can hear it hammering on the door to be let out so that it can ruin my weekend.... TT...what gorgeous pics, your garden is beautiful my dear...and what a lot you've achieved in just 3 years!...may well nick a few ideas...do hope you don't mind.... FA...it is PERFECTLY normal to walk about the garden in bare feet whatever the weather....I'm always nipping out to the compost bin from the kitchen...the only concession I make at is that, when it's wet I put the outside light on at night...the very thought on stepping on a slug or (marginally worse) snail with no shoes or socks on...EW!..makes me feel quite wobbly.... back to work in the morning...poo....

Thank you CPB ! I very rarely wear socks & shoes when I'm at home but I'm always nipping out to the garage/shed/greenhouse/compost bins barefoot. It's a bit chilly sometimes but generally the only weather I will always wear socks & shoes for is snow. Other than that, I don't mind it. Mind you, I have had my fair share of those big orange or black slugs squidged between my toes FA x

You're also too young.
It's an acronym which has been made into a song by Kevin 'Bloody' Wilson, an Austrailian comedian famous for swearing a LOT !!!
