Hi Jenny, nice to see you too! I was so shattered last night, I needed a break from all the estate agents' websites! 36 R has taken the trouble to drive me all the way to the GC so I'd better buy something or he'll think it was a wasted journey OK, back to the grindstone ...

Hi Plocket, We've only seen 4 houses so far - two had big gardens ;D but the houses needed too much work , the other two were nice but the gardens were a bit small. I think it will take a while to find somewhere suitable, but our house isn't on the market yet, so we're not in too much of a hurry - hope to have it on the market in about a fortnight. The time consuming thing (apart from the list of 70 or so things we need to do in the next fortnight ), & the reason I'm not on the boards much at the moment, is going through all the estate agent's websites - some are much more user-friendly than others!

Hia Juliet! You sound very cheerful about it though Juliet. I really do hope you find the perfect home and manage to sell your house quickly. I was thinking about you the other day so I'm glad you checked in. Keep us posted! Px

Well I had to go to the diy store today to try and find a sonic rat repellant. They didn't have what I wanted, so I bought geranium ballerina, physalis and a few more pulsatillas. And I only spent £10!

I went to a GC on thursday and bought £120 worth of shrubs and perennials. On Saturday I went to a specialist nursery and bought £60 worth of plants - then we had the worst spell of weather of the year, so everything is sheltering in the greenhouse and I can't get through the door!! Hope weather improves soon, so I can get planting!!

I like that one, Karlslass ... makes it sound as though it might be a triffid though! Plants quite often appear in my car and I have no recollection of buying them, so I surmise that they like me so much they follow me home Of course after their difficult journey it would be churlish of me not to plant them wouldn't it

It's just a temporary affliction, Manic, don't worry - see post 15 on page 1 of this thread

Hello fellow plantaholics - glad you're not anonymous! OH thinks I'm President of the Plant Rescue Society, too. ;D There is a sort of cure to our affliction, which works some of the time. That is to become very very specialist. Another cure is to work as a volunteer in a kitchen garden and have to fill all the pots and trays needed to prick out 300 lettuces, or 1200 sea pinks, or 1200 forget-me-nots, etc., on your volunteer day. Wouldn't have it any other way though.
