Sara was kind enough to let me know that she had seen our garden in Womans Weekly Autumn Gardening - I am really chuffed ;D ;D ;D The pictures were taken by Nicola Stocken Tomkins the first year we opened our garden for the N.G.S - she has made it look rather good ;D even if I say it myself. It is all good publicity to encourage people to visit our garden next year ;D Ooh - I am excited ;D ;D ;D Not keen on the photo of me and Barry though - I was having a really, really bad hair day and I know I'm large but....................

Hi Pam.... I must have missed this thread but I was just in the Coop and quickly glanced at their magazines and noticed this one and thought it was a bargain at £1.30 or something so chucked it into my basket. Imagine my surprise when I opened it and started to read about a very familiar garden... ;D I yelled for the OH to come and see (he didn't arrive too quickly as he was on a stag night last night ) and asked him if the garden was familiar.... "Blimey" said he, "That's Pam's!" ;D I have just had to look through your last posts to find this thread as I just wanted to say an enormous 'Well done' ;D You should be very (and rightly) proud. P.S...... The picture is fine!!!! ;D

I think the borders will be similar to this year as I have been very pleased with them - maybe lilac busy lizzies instead of pink ;D I will do different baskets though ;D

That is so beautiful Pam. My back garden border was really rubbish this year so I'm really envious but on a brighter note, my front border looked much better this year..... not a patch on yours though!!! ;D
BTW, can I just point out people, that the 'article' was a SIX page spread!!! ;D

Just having a break from Privet hedge trimming ... very long story. I saw Skarloey had posted on a thread called 'Feeling really chuffed' and I thought she was going to be telling us that she'd got the greenhouse up ;D..... I'm off to the shop to find myself a copy of Womans Weekly Autumn Gardening ;D. If that ONE border photo that you've posted Pam is anywhere near as good as the SIX page article, it looks like the Privet hedge won't get finished ;D Well done to you and Barry - you both deserve it.

Drawn to this, I commissioned OH to include the mag on the weekend shopping - and blow me down, what an amazing spread, Pam. I might have guessed there was something special going on when we lured you into posting the 'most spectacular hanging basket' pics.
You're rightly chuffed!

Thankyou so much for all your lovely comments - I really do appreciate them ;D Just a little note I am not fully retired - still work 2 days a week! I don't have 1500 fuchsias but I do take around 1500 cuttings each year! We are not quite self sufficient yet! Love Pam x

He (the non gardener) is very impressed and said, 'Isn't Pam the family tree lady...how does she have the time to do all that' I like the last box...
