It's definately sowing season by the looks on here ;D Most of my Morning Glory are through so they've now come out of the HP and into an UHP in the GH. I put Nicotiana Affinis in there place and they are now showing little specs of green. Everything else is just in UHP's in the GH waiting for a turn to get in the warm

Oh and I found some old astrantia seeds,no idea how old and sowed themstraight into a little bare patch of soil beside the bricks on the bottom border.

4 cobaea scandens sown and put in mini-growhouse this morning. The 6 remaining crepe ginger seeds were soaked overnight, sown and put in the heated prop as well. The African Marigolds, Vanilla f1 & Crackerjack sown on 12/03 are showing, not quite as quick as Andys but not bad! I may sow some night phlox (midnight candy) direct, and anything else I can find in my seedbox that can be outdoor sown now! I forget and then end up too late with some of the annuals ... I'll report back later x Tig

My Mex's failed for the first time ever and I adopted the Tig method (should be patented) and within 48 hours the first seeds are germinating.
Tig's method .....rough and mean and just throw them in!!!!!

Amazingly successful method isn't it! ;D
Glad it worked for you too (I have ten seedlings this year, all in their own pots now. I think that will be enough for the size of my garden!)

I've been at it again too. Today i've sowed 2 pot full of Rudbeckia (thanks again Tig) they're in the airing cupboard to germinate. Also sowed some saved morning glory seeds into a washed out strawberry container with a lid like a propagator. Have put these in the mini greenhouse. I'm looking out the window as I type and I see a lovely big bumble bee in one of the tulips on the windowledge. ;D It really is springtime.

You're keeping busy Rf. Today I've sowed into pots some double blue cornflower. There's no sign of the ones I sowed in the border so these are in the airing cupboard to germinate. Funny thing, either my poppy burgundy frills are starting to germinate weeks after sowing and i'd just about given up on them or else something else has gotten into the compost and is coming up. They're in the covered back yard. Time will tell. ;D

well done Jasmine, they're doing great for you. They really work well when planted in a good clump together maybe 5-7 and if you dead head them they will bloom again.

That's where I've had most success too Tig strangely enough they've done better there than in the seed tray. Glad to hear they're doing well for you. There's so much to come, I love this time of year so much. ;D

I was having a look in my notebook as it's the middle of the night and i can't sleep. I see I've only a few more things left to sow, nearly everything has already been sown. Can't believe how well on I am. Did'nt quite have that sense of panic I expected to have at the beginning of the year when I was making my list. Bit by bit it all gets done. ;D
