I sowed some dianthus a while back, they are too small to plant on, do you think they will keep for next year in the greenhouse, or will they die in the autumn.

If we ever get some warmth Barbara they might take off They like a lot of light so don't let them start to crowd one another, and they don't want to be too wet. Water from the bottom if you can and give them a liquid feed every 10 days. Others might know more x Tig

Are you sure they're not weeds then? ;D No weeds would probably be bigger, but each plant is where I planted it so they must be Dianthus.

I've still got some of last years seeds left too, thanks for the reminder LG.

Sowed some Sweet Peas today, thought I'd have a got at using root trainers as they were on special offer at the GC. They're obviously not for someone lacking in patience like me, everytime I put the compost in they came undone & dumped the compost all over the floor. They were on their was to the bin until OH heard the air turning blue & came & rescued me i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/grin.gif All done now, although they'd better be worth it or I'm going back to pots i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/rolleyes.gif . Did Jilly & Hi Scent from last year, Old Spice mixed & a new variety called Erewhon, an odd name but they caught my eye when I was passing the seed stand at the GC, a really unusual pink & mauve combination. Well, about half of my sweet peas are showing their little heads! I have them in the garage at the moment with a couple of very cold nights, but will stick them back outdoors now that it is warming back up.
