Some of you may remember my skip rummaging from last year and the 2 pots that I salvaged full of compo that turned out to have Tulips in them. Well this is one of them

A nice little surprise, a bit mud splattered, but nice all the same. A white dog violet noticed today. And a Snakes head duet.

Aren't they fab little plants!!! I just wish they were bigger and you could really see those beautiful markings. I've wanted to grow them for years but have never been able to but in this house this little group are on the edge of the driveway, loads of shade and in a wind tunnel and whats more the quite often get a kick from a bumper! Amazing!!

Thanks ladies, its one of mine, as well as Tete-e-Tete they are so cheerful when you come out of the house as they are just ouside the kitchen door.

Carolann - you are making me feel guilty. The asparagus bed has been dug and basically ready for planting the asparagus. The big but is that I was going to leave my OH in charge of the planting 'cos I don't want responsibility for something that might take 3 years to gain anything worth eating! So the plants are still not planted. You have jogged my memory now so I will probably end up planting them myself. PJ
