Ah, my Mum's was cream. I can't remember who ended up with it when they left the country. I sometimes wish I'd said yes but I didn't have anywhere to overwinter it - it was in a huge pot.

There was a piece on Brugs on Gardener's Question Time an Radio 4 on Friday. The man said he grew them in a large pot filled with a half potting compost half manure mix. Top dressed with blood, fish and bone, then liquid fed after 6 weeks. He also said the flower in 6 week cycles. Can't say I have noticed this. However, he said come September his brug has about 150 blooms on it, so he must be doing something right. I've noticed they are heavy feeders so might be a good plan to follow.

Not really, ours are late, but full of pods - have you given it lots of water and feed I feed mine every other day ( when I remember) ;D

So when you say, you are feeding it, what are you giving it, a fertilizer?? I have only fed mine a few times , so maybe thats the problem then, not enough fertilizer.

Yes, general purpose fertilizer ( phostrogen) until it has good growth, then high potash ( tomato fertilizer) which promotes flowering. They are very thirsty and greedy plants ;D

Thanks.....now i know what i was doing wrong. ;D Another question then .....i know i will be bringing it in for the winter, it will be in a artificial light area(husbands shop), because it didnt flower this year, should i let it continue to grow, or cut it back? ;D

I let mine carry on growing and only cut them back if they get too big for the space they're occupying. They will probably lose their leaves ( unless it is warm in the shop) and if they get cold, bits of the stem will go mushy - when it warms up again you can cut the mushy bits off. Farner's Boy is the real expert and he will probably post later...but I think he will broadly agree with what I do. Good luck
