I went to plant out some MGs yesterday and found some self-seeded babies!! Filled in gaps with carefully tended new MGs. It will be interesting to see which do best (or do anything! :

Oh Jenny and they looked such good seedlings, do you think they were maybe not big enough to plant out or has something got at them NO you are sooo lucky to get self seeded babies I cheked my sowings this morning and I have loads of them about 1 1'2" high now. Fingers crossed we have a better year with them this year I'll probably pot mine on in a few days and let them get some good roots going before planting them out.

Mine are up to the top of the canes in their pot. Just hoping to get the decking finished today so I can move them over to the trellis so they can cover it...will try and post a pic later if I get the chance.

Mine have buds but are still recovering from being planted out and, I have to say, look rather pathetic at present. If anything EVER comes of them I will post some pics!

not the best of pics but it just shows that even 'tho they're not yet very tall they sometimes still give flowers, this was taken the other day.

the leaves are the bottom leaves of one of the sunflowers so it gives an idea of how small this morning glory is at the back of the border.

Posted this somewhere else but thought I'd post here for all us morning glory lovers. It's flowers like these which make this little plant worth growing I think, even if they are few and far between it's worth keeping going.
