I seem to have a fair few Foxgloves in my garden this year but nothing as strange as this pink one. It is a triffid - not in size - it just looks like one and it has 4 babies that look as though they will be the same. RF

That is very weird RF I bought cistus purpureas last year which turned out to be the white flowering one! I think a tiny part of it might be trying to comply with the original name though ... Quite a nice look I thought x Tig

Another of the nicely scented oriental lilies opened today, a pink one. Rather oddly though I noticed that the stamens on one side are fixed to the petal, and on the others they are missing altogether x Tig

As I was searching out the tricyrtis I spotted this odd sunflower seedling - wonder if it will grow normally or be a twin?

A new year a new distortion but you could have done worse Tig. A love sign sunflower is a new one for me ;D It might end up with little hearts all over.

Does anyone know what have I done to my clems? Found these this morning... The top one is Fransizka Maria and the bottom one is Denny's Double. The flowers look like they are in 2 levels instead of being very full doubles - very strange .

I took a while, but I new this thread was somewhere I sowed and nurtured some papaver miyerbeanum seeds from the RHS which Auricula shared with me. I thought all these poppies were yellow? This is one of several in bud, they look like they'll be orange to me and I had a self-sown seedling from some French Lavender which died on me the winter before last. The parent was lilac, so it was a surprise when the 'baby' flowered! x Tig

Perhaps you have a colour changing microclimate Tig ;D Glad the poppies germinated anyway

They germinated fine A, and have been shared far and wide, hope no-one has them planted in a dedicated yellow border, they've opened today and are .... orange Think the RHS must have muddled their seeds up ;D x Tig
