Well, that really takes the biscuit!!!!! I can't believe that the voting public can keep John Sargent in. OK, he's a great entertainer, as it turns out, but..............for Goodness' sake....he can't bl**dy dance. It makes me so cross OK more than one can play at that game. My life savings aren't that much but I'm going to have to vote as many times as i can next week for EVERYBODY ELSE so that he goes out ;D ;D If I was Heather Small I'd be spitting feathers now. How unfair can it get?

I love Strictly, but I think it's getting a bit silly now. As much as I find watching John entertaining and funny, it really should have been him that went. I just can't believe that he is still there. I know that it is partly an entertainment show, but IMO ultimately those keeping him in are really not thinking what the show is all about, dancing ability, which he just sadly doesn't have. Also, I have to say that I totally think the wrong two couples were in the dance off as well, but that's just my opinion. I will now get off my soap box!!!

I've now watched the dance-off and can't understand why Jodie and John weren't in the dance off. I'm glad the judges said that it was unfair, but I think the programme makers are going to have to change how the voting is done. They might argue that if the public gets less than 50% of the vote then they won't bother ringing but I personally don't think that's the case. I'm getting fed up with naff "popular" people going a long way in the show, and to the sacrifice of better dancers. It happened last year with Kate who was truly dreadful - even worse than John.
I wish my boycotting the show would make a difference but it won't. Surely the judges have the right to refuse to nominate someone to leave in those circumstances?

It was good fun to start off with but now that good dancers are being dropped to keep flat-footed John in, it makes a mockery of the whole concept of the show. Unless he can somehow pull off a dazzling performace next weekend I think he should do the decent thing and withdraw from the show. He can always say he's twisted his ankle or something.

Jodie appears in other shows maybe giving her extra clout - she is brilliant on the Jack Osborne Adrenaline Junkie show and does amazing things - walks a tightrope over a raging river, climbs an ice mountain - maybe she has a lot of fans outside Strictly

She probably does.
I managed to catch It Takes Two last night which had interviews with Craig, John and Len. Craig is like us saying that it's his job to mark the dancing, whereas John rightly pointed out that the public can vote how they want. Len also agreed that the best dancers shouldn't really go out but it's the licence payers who are voting so they should have the right to vote how they want to.
It still infuriates me that someone as cr@p as John can still be in it.

As much as I love John it is time that he went now. I thought Heather danced so well even though I dont like Brian, its a shame that the BBC cant rig it just a little. Len should keep his gob shut and not say that all John's mates are voting for him.

Oooh I can feel everyones passion for this I enjoy watching them all perform, and it would be really interesting to see how much each artist has raised for Children in Need, after all that is the other side of the coin to this annual event. Would the people who are voting for John be casting votes for any of the other contestants I wonder? I doubt very much that John will last much longer - the fewer contestants who are left will concentrate voting on those who can - unless of course it is a sinister conspirancy by the 'league against dancing squad' (aka LADS) ;D x Tig

Oh, those LADS have a lot to answer for Tig ;D ;D. I think John is bound to end up in the dance off eventually (sooner than later I hope) and when he does he's history! It's not his fault he can't dance and has the sort of build which makes him look ridiculous trying. However, this is a dancing competition at the end of the day and he really shouldn't be in it anymore.

Funnily enough I said to OH that I'd like to see who's top of the leaderboard after the public have voted - they never show us that much!
I'm going to miss Brian. I really didn't like him when we first saw him on the show but I've really warmed to him, especially when he did the interview with Claudia and was in tears after all the birthday messages from his family - he was so sweet! And boy can he wriggle his hips!! ;D

Brian is the skinny, poofy, yank that has just got kicked off along with Heather. I cannot believe that John Sargeant is still in it - he really is awful, but he is such a nice man, and we all love the underdog :-) its about time he went tho - decent dancers are being slung out because of him. I love SCD and Karl hates it - makes for an interesting saturday night !!

I wish they'd show us the leader board after the public have voted, or call out the people in descending order. No phone money is going to charity this year so John hasn't even got that in his favour. The judges should say nicer things about him thus week and then he'll be voted off - it worked for Kate last year!! I'm glad Brian and Heather have gone, but it MUST be JS this week unless someone REALLY messes up!!
