I will have to tape this tomorrow night and try not to find out who wins and how it all goes. I can't believe that our works Christmas dinner is on the same night. I could count on one hand the number of times a year I go out and it has to be on the same night as the strictly final.  Thank goodness I still have an old fashioned video recorder.  |

I understand there's a SCD "Special" on Christmas day but what am I going to do on a Saturday night now? I shall miss it so much.
BTW I didn't want Tom to win and couldn't decide between the others but that didn't spoil my enjoyment of the show. At least Tom's show dance was spectacular and they did it brilliantly!

Didn't really mind who won although I did have 2 sneaky votes for Brendan (oops..Lisa ) Will really miss the programme - oh well, back to reality |

I was really rooting for Tom on Saturday and am really pleased that he won (and that he danced so well). I thought Lisa and Rachel were very good too, but not nearly as entertaining as Tom.

LP and I wanted Tom and Camilla to win. We watched the first part of the final, and LP then had to go to bed (I'm so cruel!!!). Later I flicked over to see who'd got through to the second part of the final and recorded the rest of the show when I saw that Tom and Rachel were through.
In all honesty I think Rachel is the best dancer overall, but Tom and Camilla's show dance had it all for me - it was fun, the music was fab, they did ballroom stuff, lifts and had comedy. It was wonderful. And as the judges said, it was better than Rachel's.
I can't help feeling a bit sorry for Rachel because she WAS the best dancer, but I've accepted that it's a personally contest as well as a dance contest - John Sargent wouldn't have stayed in so long if it was just a dance contest. So the most popular person won, not the best dancer - but Rachel will always be a winner, and I have a feeling the competition might kick-start her career again.

I loved Tom and Camilla's show dance and felt that they were worthy winners. I thought Rachel was the best dancer and Lisa had made the greatest improvement but that Tom should have won, just to see the joy on Camilla's face P.S.
