I'm almost ashamed to say I'm watching this  but, let's face it, there isn't much choice at the moment. I think the singers are better this year, and I quite like a good few of them. I think Laura is my favourite so far, and Rachel (if that is her name? The one who has been on drugs has children in care and an attitude as big as a house) is the one I most want to see booted out. Mainly because of said attitude.  I laughed a couple of weeks back when the lass was singing in Spanish. Simon was blushing and smitten like a schoolboy. ;D Trashy programme, but, hell, it passes an hour mindlessly. ;D |

Theres worse trash on the TV than X Factor Wee ;D and I watch it too so  I'm with you on Laura she is my fave to win and the other one whatever her name is. I reckon you are right about the them being a better lot than last year, I didn't really watch it as much last year because it just didn't hit the spot for me  Wonder who will be out tonight then ;D |

I've watched the rerun a couple of times. can't fathom why the young Irish boy is still there. he has the cute factor but not much else going for him. The girls are much better

The girls are much better I too can't fathom why the Irish boy is still on except people will vote just because of his 'cute' factor but he doesn't compare with any of the others. I hope the one (cant remember his name) who is the more mature one and has a good voice--does well. I'm enjoying this series more than previous ones. I think there are some really different and great singers, real original folks on there. The little blonde and the 2 girls with the long dark hair will go far. I hope I thought the right ones went out last week. Hope to see it tonight. |

Ooo nice to see a Thread about this - I really enjoy this programme - you just sit back and let it wash all over you - no need to concentrate on anything ;D I will vote for Diana - she sounds like Rosie Ribbons (Pop Idol some years ago) I think Rachel has the best voice but her attitude is really bad - too cocky - shame really And the little Irish boy -  |

I felt so sorry for that young lad who went off last night, he could'nt even speak he was so upset. They all performed really well last night. I thought their single Heros was really great and a smashing idea. |

I felt sorry for that lad aswell. I think all those 'Sob' stories about their backgrounds shouldn't influence the voting--It is their singing/Talent that really matters.
The right ones were voted off last night- and I hope Daniel goes a bit further--

Rachel looked great and sounded it too, but her attitude will hold her back.
As for Scott, I'm glad he is gone as I felt he was too emotional to handle the show. It would have got worse for him had he gone on to later shows. Poor boy, his dream really is shattered and I hope he can get himself back together.
I wouldn't like to choose a winner from that lot, as they are all good in different ways.

I'm like MRH I prefer watching all the dreadful wannabees. I get cross when it gets closer to the final because they kick out good singers on the basis that they wouldn't suit the pre-written song - which is totally unfair! And I think it's wrong having all the sob-stories come out because they make people biased.

I felt really sorry for Austin, did'nt really want him to go poor guy. I think the most original and quirky is Diana, hope she wins, I really like the sound of her voice. JLS are very good and should go far and I like Laura too. Don't like Daniel or the little guy from NI at all. Too cheesy for me. |

Now it's down to the live shows, I've watched a couple of them to see who's in the running.
Daniel is only getting the sympathy vote because he's not actually that good a singer.
Eoghan (or "Ewok" as he's known in my house) is only getting the votes because pre-pubescent girls think he's cute.
Diana has a voice that sounds like fingernails being scraped down a blackboard. Horrible.
From what I've seen, the best singers are Laura and Alexandra. No-one else is anywhere close to either of them two really.

Daniel isn't a very good singer but he's getting the sympathy vote because he lost his wife. I also think people vote for him to pee Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell off. They don't like him and always give negative comments so people vote for him for a laugh. It was the same with the MacDonald brothers a couple of years ago. Simon hated them so people voted for them every week to pee him off because he would've ended up managing them. I don't think this is any different. As for Eoghan, I'm sure he's an Ewok.......  ;D ;D   FA x |

What a bloody travesty that Laura got voted off. I think Louis Walsh only did it to get back at Cheryl for her comment about Westlife and also because he knows Laura was the biggest threat to JLS.

Yes FA You could be right there--except I like Daniel's voice and hope he gets quite far but I am sure he will not win.
