This is my baby Charlie who a couple of weeks ago was diagnosed with Cushings Disease. But not only that he had a scan and it showed up a nodular mass inside his liver. I am devasted to say the least cushings can be treated but the mass is nothing i can do about. It may be malignant or not there is no way of telling without sending him to a specialist which will cost me thousands of pounds we havent got. I just have to hope and pray for the best.Last week was a bad week for me to i had a cancer scare that frightend me to death but it turned out to be a cyst. So if im not a happy join in the fun person you all know why. I dont like annoucing my problems online but i need a bit of support right now.

Oh Snowowl, how worrying for you. It is difficult but you have to take each day as it comes with Charlie and try to look on the bright side as you just cannot know what will happen. I've never heard of Cushings disease but I hope he can be treated so that he has a good quality of life. It's awful when they feel poorly because you can't explain things to them can you.
I know you will get the support you need from your friends on the board.

My little Yorkie, Mickey, aged 16, has been having tests for Cushings Disease - it appeared after many bloods tests he didnt have it But I went down the road - What If He Has - and it can be controlled by medicine as you will have been told
Your little boy is lovely and am so sad he could be poorly and hope and pray he isnt and can be cured
How much would the op cost SO

Hi all thanks for your messages Charlie is going to the vets again this week for another blood test to make sure he on the right dose of tablets. Hes not to bad in himself he is still eating and playing with his toys. Jenny its not realy the cost of the op i worded that wrong the mass is deep within his liver and is not a viable option for operating realy it would probly kill him so i would rather have him with a good quality of life at the moment than loose him now. I just try to convince myself the mass is not malignant it keeps me going.

I am so sorry to hear about your lovely little dog if you go on the MMM website and have a look on chatterbox there is a lady with a dog that has cushings and she gives updates all the time, like you she was in shock at first but they do seem to be managing it, I know the liver readings werent very good just before Christmas but I gather it is slowly improving. Love to you both and try to be posative.maggyxx
