That's right Auricula, I read it in the GW magazine, there's a feature about it but promptly forgot again. Thanks for the reminder. I will be watching it.

I enjoyed Carol's new programme the other day. It did make me realise again 'tho how very small my little patch is. It did make me want to be able to get out and do something.

I couldn't believe her Hubby let her go up the ladder and pull the Clematis out of the tree, it looked dangerous pulling whilst stood like that on a ladder, I really enjoyed the prog. though, must set the recorder for it as a series.

I saw today that there's going to be a horticulture channel, which will be on Freeview as well as satellite! Starting in the spring, I think. Did you know about that? ;D

Oh that sounds good Geranium, wonder what will be on it. When they were doing the re runs of GW last year I watched them all. I think that was before Blighty and was on Home and Garden or something.

I just hope for some really 'old' programmes - like Geoff Hamilton, maybe? Wouldn't that be great! ;D Not 'Groundforce' though, please!

I've got Freesat ;D I'll let you know if I spot anything of interest I quite enjoyed Carol Kleins prog, shame it was only half an hour though. I was a bit confused. Early on she said about the awful winter and showed her tulip pots had split after being frozen, and then the programme moved on through February, so I assume it was all filmed 2009/10??? Or did she add the bit in about the weather more recently? x Tig

I thought it was filmed last year, as in 09/10, not sure though, but she did go into Feb . didn't she.

Well, last year's winter wasn't too good, was it? The programme must have been filmed in 2009/2010 if she's going right through all the months, mustn't it.

It was 2009/10 and if you remember we had a bad winter then ( well we did down here )

Not as bad as this one!!!! Bet she's lost a lot more then ... as for going up that ladder, no way Jose!!!! Far too high. I would have just cut it back lower down, a rampant clem will soon get it's head into the sun again x Tig

Does anyone remember UKTVBrightIdeas - lots and lots of garden programmes on this Gardens Unplugged was my favourite - it just went "off the air"

If anyone is a member then pop over to the BBC site Gardening on TV and Radio. There is a thread started by the bbc which asks for questions to put to Carol on thursday I think they said. She'll be answering questions from one of the threads. Hope this makes sense, it would be worth posting a question if you'd like her to answer it. ;D

I missed the 1st episode of Carol Kleins Life in a Cottage Garden and intended to watch it on Iplayer but thats not happened yet Tonight I just happened to get the remote as it started but 5 minutes into it the ruddy phone rang Thats 2 episodes I've got to watch now. Whats the general thoughts after episode 2 ? Got all excited Geranium when I read your post on the horticulture channel on freeview, then that got scuppered if as Auricula said it's only on freesat or sky. Be good if it is online though and if it included some re runs of the older GW progs.

I know - I'm disappointed, too - why can't they put it on freeview? I shall try to get it online.

I enjoyed tonights programme - went off at a tangent a couple of times. I'm not sure what value there was to showing the wild Devonshire hedgerow primroses on her walk with the dog, she could have just shown us the seed sowing from those she had naturalised in her own garden. Wish she had named the 'bird' she found in her kitchen and released? Perhaps she did and I missed it? I made a few notes which I always think is a good sign, as I learnt summat x Tig
