I would love to go but Its a bit far for me to travel on the train with my back I would end up walking most of the way up and down the train and then be knackered for the rest of the trip. I will just enjoy watching it on the TV even though you do miss a lot.

I've been pronouncing it wrong too Jas (well logic says the same as Laura with a G ;D), missed the lunchtime programme today but it tends to be much the same content as the later programme. I think I get a better view of things of the telly, I am no good in crowds and I'm not that keen on big cities either Still not made my mind up which garden I like best x Tig

I have been a bit disapointed with the with the coverage of the show this year they seem to have been going on about oh whats is name garden the one that won the best in show, I know they are all friends but there are lots of other gardens as well, and there has not been that much coverage of the GP as usual there has been some on the red button but I would have liked to see a lot more in there myself. I loved the tour last night of the Eden project garden and that bottle GH was so inventive with the oil drum heater if I had a sheltered spot I would have a go at building one of those. I love to see the Roses but we didnt get a good enough look at them this time they seemed to fly through there also I never saw/heard of any Lily's I could see them going past the stall but they didnt stop and I would have liked them to cover the perennial stall a bit longer. The Orchids where georgous but not everyone can grow those and yet they kept going back? ?? to me it was very one sided coverage I shall get off now.

It has been a bit repetitive but you are right Tig - it is the only way 'real' folk are going to get right into the gardens.

Noted and will watch ;D Last time round he walked through Prince Charles's garden and merrily chatted up your royal as he would any other gardener.

The BBC have just said that Monty Don is returning to Gardener's World in the spring. It will come from his own garden. Other people on the show will be Carole Klein,Joe Swift and Rachel de Thame. I can't stand Monty Don, but think it is good that the programme will come from someone's actual garden, it will show true ownership.I just hope it's not all veg ;D

Goodness me I'll need a bit of time to digest this news Auricula.I do quite like him and would much preferr to see him than Toby who I simply could'nt warm to. It's great that it'll come from a real garden but what on earth will happen to the white elephant they spent a fortune of BBC money on last year. I wonder what format the programme will take. I grow veg but would'nt want to see GW given over to the growing of it. I think it's a step in the right direction.

Apparently Toby is devastated that his contract hasn't been renewed I wonder if the BBC still had to honour MD's contract as he left through ill health?? But that's just speculation - I know he's popular. Good news is.........bye bye Alys ;D

I haven't really warmed to Toby and Alys I can take or leave; she's a bit earnest. Sorry, but I find Carol irritating too. So who is to be the next presenter?

;D Bit odd on the letting go story of Toby. But hey PJ new presenter...... Or did you not sign the contract? now rdt rachel de thane attractive? She always wears those far too girly dresses with rose prints. ;D Alyss has her own little program on veg and the likes from her own garden has she not? Sometimes presenters decide to do different things just like Big Al

Now I see beeb has presenters in mind. RDT well enough said and MD probably loads of veg i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/shocked.gif What about all the work done for GW garden and the large shed they built out of recycled materials. Toby and Alys being all flirty too!

I shall be really disappointed if they don't follow through on some of the projects they started in the 'new garden' this year. Half of what was being done as trials will remain unreported Like the leaf mould, and some of the seedlings they were overwintering!!! Although knowing what has happened in my garden perhaps the plot has become an arctic wasteland, as it was very claggy soil x Tig

Carole Klein has a new programme beginning tomorrow on BBC2. It charts a year in her Devon garden and looks to be very interesting. It'll be nice to see her garden in more depth and detail - just hope she can contain the hand/arm waving ;D
