Yup but surely all people merely thought I will chop it down after Christmas and hey it's for free. You Brits are becoming very Continental i.e. Dutch Whith Chris moving out halfway through no wonder there were less plant names. I did enjoy it though, just the fun of seeing them build it. I am not even thinking I could do any of it at home . I will stick to the Hedgehogs. They are much easier to please.

Haha I like the idea of a DIY Christmas tree!!! Is it Dutch to have pine trees? I'd love red squirrels in our garden but it's never ever going to happen. I'd like hedgies too but I'm not sure how to encourage them, or even if they can get under the garden gate

I tried to encourage hedgehogs, by leaving out catfood each night. It disappeared, but no sign of hedgehogs.....then I had the awful suspicion that I was encouraging RATS !! So I chickened out...and will never know!!

Hedgehog loves to eat Cats food if she leaves any for it! Mind you - so do other cats!! Not much chance of rats or mice surviving long around here - there is a nightly procession of saucer checkers I watched that country house prog last night and thought the garden was a treasure - shame that the owners of these places always come across as slightly out of touch with the real world though x Tig

I like to try and see gardening progs on tv but usually forget what is on and when they are on. I've tried the 4 on demand download thing twice and can never seem to get it to work Barbara, it told me it would take 98 minutes to download and only did 1% then stopped. My neighbour said it was probably to do with my imternet speed. Not sure as I'm useless with these things Barbara I think I just did a google search for 4 on demand and got it. E

Well a funny thing happened to me tonight - I watched that Chris Beardshaw Wildlife in the Garden programme and really enjoyed it....I thought it was a much better garden that others I've seen in the series, more practical and achievable and I really liked the minibeast aspect of it....so nice to see the habitat hotel in the school too - we should see much more of that sort of thing on TV. Nick Knowles is still annoying but at least the wildlife lady got a look in this time and the programme was much better as a result

I thought last nights episode was OK (apart from the colour of the shed / cabin, it was a bit too grey for me ) I still wished they told you what they had planted though!

I'd love to try the hops as an aid to sleep 'tho Tig. Seems like it works well. ;D I could do with a bit of help sometimes when my mind won't stop running over everything. I would'nt rave aboutit but I think at this stage I'm so desperate for any kind of gardening programme I'll keep watching in the hope of learning something useful.

Yes that did seem to work for those who tried it, although I would rather have the hops in ale, and perhaps a soak in a lavender bath ;D I'm going to watch Jimmy Doherty in Darwins Garden tonight on BBC2 at 8pm - that might be interesting x Tig
