The actual location of 'Berryfields' has always been kept under wraps by the BBC but as far as I know it's somewhere in the Stratford-upon-Avon area.

Very disappointed in the Carol Klein programme Too much yakking and not enough plants I thought / hoped it would be about people growing plants or those with national collections - not a bunch of people Carol knew Did like the Carribbean lady's front garden though - what a picture and obviously a labour of love

I enjoyed the enthusiasm of the contributors, but could have done without the emotional bits though! And that ladies front garden was completely OTT - but I loved it ;D Roll on Friday ... hope there is something of interest to all viewers, but I am an eternal optimist Tig

Now don't go putting ideas in my head Amo ;D I did get to watch about half of it and sort of agree with you Auricula "Too much yakking and not enough plants" Carol did go on a bit too when she was outside her first garden. The Caribbean lady's front garden was def OTT, stuck out like a sorw thumb in that street ;D the work she must put in to keep it tip top They were all very enthusiastic Tig bit I reckon I'd have had a headache if I'd watched it all ;D

I'm looking forward to it as well Amo - being optimistic it can't be any worse than it was at Berryfields can it And the new site isn't flat, so hopefully it will represent more of the challenges ordinary folk face in their gardens.

Sorry RF. Well I enjoyed that! Looks really promising and they all look quite happy and relaxed together now. Just a wee bit of bad camera work when Carol was doing her bulbs or was it me that my eyes couldn't focus and they were too close!!!

I enjoyed GW this evening. Maybe the beer helped, but I am warming to Toby. Programme was down to earth and quite useful advice on building compost bins out of old pallets.
Look forward to next week on veg growing.

I enjoyed it as well - Alys knocking her nails askew was a bit sexist I thought, even chaps don't always get them to hit home first time - but apart from that .. big thumbs up ;D Allium leaf miners attacking the leeks in my area x Tig

I really enjoyed the programme although I could have done without the customising of the shed I liked the format, the range and the relaxed delivery of the team - still haven't warmed to Alys, but it's early days ;D Hope the whole series is as good ;D

I managed to blank the customising of the shed bit! £40 for an old sash window with broken glass Spoilt a perfectly good shed and wasted a load of money in doing so ...

Spruance I have catch up TV and was up early this morning so I got to see it. Good job too as the family will be here tomorrow and I don't have a mission of seeing it then. That garden shed is bigger than my living room. I'm sure they paid a fortune too to get it reglazed Tig. I quite enjoied it all the same. It will be interesting to see it all develop. Greenfields is a nice name for the garden if a bit obvious.

The shed saga did raise my hackles - why pay good money for a new shed and then knock it about? And don't get me started on the newly glazed and repainted windows - more money than sense!!! Still - as I said, I loved the rest of it

Just had a quick nosey over on the Dark Side to see how much patting on the back they were giving themselves and was amazed at the mess it's in! There are so many missing posts being moderated it hardly makes sense. Then again, it never did make that much sense over there.

And yes as Auricula says hope it is not just veg next programme. Even though I enjoy growing veg, I find it a bit tedious on telly. Would rather see the lovely flowers and shrubs.

Well I've only just looked at episode 1 and whilst doing so have downloaded epi 2. Thoroughly enjoyed it all tbo. Great to see the site and how it's progressed over the months. Love the banter between them all, that awkwardness that seemed to be there in the last series for me has gone. Lots of useful bits and general reminders throughout the whole prog but bits I picked up on..... Never knew that you could have Daffs flowering 5 months of the year, must look out for 'Fragrant Breeze' supposed to smell like freasias (sp). That knotch in the secs was good, I've ruined many a pair cutting wire. Liked the idea of weaving the Hazel and Birch branches for plant supports and weaving the bits to make a basket type support. I'd never thought of using peas netting either. I nearly wet myself when Toby said "day 5" when Alys was struggling with those nails on the compost bin. Never heard the saying " plants grow by the inch and are killed by the foot" how true. OMG ;D Mr and Mrs Oven, with the seperat gardens, one exotic the other cottage....thought she wore the trousers ;D ;D Never knew that Brugs could be rooted in water or the bit about the white dots. Loved how they captured the Robin in shot when doing the Cornus pruning bit. Loved the fruit barrel, great idea to put those rope handles on it. Might put some of my strawbs around the edge of the samll tubs that have my Rasberries in. Loved the idea of customising the shed, although I didn;t like the colour scheme. Oooh to have one that big with a sofa and chairs in, dream on Chuckles The Whats hot and whats not bit was good, nice bit of debating going on there. I recon with the new site it will be nice to see how it all comes together. I'll probably be watching epi 2 when you lot are watching 3 ;D
