Rosefriend, Was it good I think it always is despite me groaning and moaning about bits of GW. As for those new laws.. Bgr. I haven't checked as I have BBC as part of my tv licence so I can watch it. Good you have some one to help you out with a new site and I do hope that one stays active for a while. The You tube film undoubtedly will be erased someday soon to protect the BBC which is understandable but hard when abroad and one cannot see things otherwise. Ah well life eh? Cheerypeabrain, Monty is quite a character eh? The best shot ever for me was him gently stroking a soft bush in a far away land only to dive on top of it after the owner said that was the best way to enjoy the plant fully. There he was grinning his head of in the middle of a shrub waving his arms about. He does provoke the senses... Sunshine today where we were supposed to get clouds. I am going to make the most of it. Cheers all

OK I have sorted out as to how I can get UK programmes - when does Beechgrove start - I thought it was this week - isn't it repeated on a Sunday morning anymore??

Rosefriend it starts on 18th April so we have a little wait yet. It will still be shown on the Sunday after the show on BBC2 but they don't yet have a time. I'm so looking forward to it as well but it's nice to have little updates on the fb page.

I now have to pay to watch but at 2.50Eper month it won't break the bank and I do so enjoy my gardening Sunday mornings !!

Yes I always think it's a shame it starts so late in the year, I'd like it to start at the beginning of March Rosefriend.

Beechgrove is on at 13.30 for me on Sunday - I suppose I should be pleased that I can watch it at all but what a stupid time...

Now that I pay for the privilege of watching UK TV it seems that I can also see iPlayer which means I have had a lovely couple of hours with Monty and Beechgrove...
I enjoyed both. I do agree that gardening helps the body and the soul when it is needed. Nowt like getting your pinkies dirty!!
I am sad that Jim is retiring, I do understand though. Perhaps they will get him back as a guest now and again.
Are there any other gardening programmes that I don't know about - I normally watch on a Sunday morning, so I know those...??

Nothing I've seen lately RF - a lot less garden make-over programmes these days.

I enjoyed the first one, I thought it was a great idea to look at one garden as the seasons progressed. Interesting to find out about the bird topiaries, that they all started out as different species, robin, wren, etc but are now all peacocks

I like the idea of the same garden with the seasons as well Tig. Does anyone remember when Carol did that to her own garden a few years back, it was very interesting. I'll watch the 1st episode on my5player. On friday night's GW I was very interested to hear from the Allium grower that Allium Schubertii does'nt come back once it has flowered. The same thing happened with some I'd gotten last June and kept in their pot, when I tipped out the pot this year, there was'nt 1 bulb left!

I think there might have been one tiny tiny one which I planted somewhere at the plot. The soil had'nt been disturbed or anything Barbara so I knew it was'nt like something had eaten them.

How on earth did Monty get that knife/trowel on a plane from the US, the lady with all the pots was colourful wasn't she, and I thought the wildlife friendly garden on Beechgrove was lovely, well done the man with his compost ready in weeks, it must be all the rabbit poo.

What a gorgeous rose garden the lady had last night, and Stoke Manderville hospital gardens were lovely, my cousin Phil was in there for months after an accident, I think before these were don or he would have mentioned them.

I missed that bit Ladygardener, wouldn't it have made a great programme seeing it made. This is all I could find Barbara. I remember years ago seeing a feature about how the whole Horatio's Garden Scheme came to be. His mum was doing most of it and I cried buckets, it's such a sad story but amazing how his dreams have become reality even if he never knew. www.horatiosgarden.org.uk/gallery-categories/stoke-mandeville/
