Tonights programme is all about the 're-design' garden that Joe Swift did on GW so it will probably be 25 minutes of what I have already watched with a 5 minute progress report It would be good to have some 'new' garden presenters - I don't know why they can't showcase some real gardeners at work and see how they come across on screen? I used to like Pippa Greenwood, it's ages since she was on.

I liked her too LadyG she used to have a column in one of the Saturday newspapers as well I think it was the mirror! she gave good advice. Im a bit prejudiced I like the lady gardeners I like Carol Kline as well even the new Amy I like I think it is because I can mostly manage to do what they do.

Thats a good link LG I'll have a read and bookmark it! GW was as predicted just a repeat of what they had already aired, and due to the time of year the 'catch up' didn't really show the garden off to good effect I thought

I like Pippa ans Anne Swithinbank.............but nobody beats Chris Beardshaw...aaahh Don't mind any of the gardeners/presenters really - except 2..................can't stand Monty Don or Alys Fowler Fed up of these clip programmes being billed as "specials" - just repeats

I just watched Carols Programme on lady gardeners, interesting enough, my Hubby says he never thinks of anyone but women being gardeners, cause his mum my mum and now me all were and are, so thats why, while, neither he nor his dad bothered.

I enjoyed the programme, a mixture of gardening history and useful information. I found the grafting of the apple trees especially interesting.

Thanks for the link Chuckles, ;D I'll look forward to it now. It's a good idea if they do as planned and carry on right through the summer until the autumn time.

I was enjoying GW too last night, but got interrupted during the last 10 minutes, so I have recorded the last few mins. I am raring to go and am about to plant my free tomato seeds from the GW magazine.

I made notes whilst watching last nights programme, which meant I was learning something and saw things I liked. I thought he sowed rather a lot of tomato seeds in one small pot though, I would rather sow just a couple Enjoyed watching Carol split her perennials x Tig

Enjoyed most of last nights programme - the time flew! I've been out and checked my miscanthus this morning for signs of new growth, and there isn't any I'm not going to cut the tops off yet. Loved looking at the roses, that made me feel summerish x Tig

What's wrong with Alys Auricula?
Did anyone see Carol Klein on the BBC news this morning? She was demonstrating how to take scales off lilies to make new ones...and plugging her new book 'Grow your own garden'. The book looks interesting though.
