Todd was hilarious! Thanks for the link Jenny, I watched it twice over and was still laughing ;D Earlier yesterday I watched the European ice dance championships - I thought the Kerrs were amazing!! They won GB a bronze, it was an excellent performance! uk.youtube.com/watch?v=jrzipJonJbQ&feature=relatedI knew it would affect how I viewed the celebs efforts on DoI x Tig

Todd Carty I don't think I've ever laughed until I cried at a TV programme before. His "skating" is still truly appalling, but I bet he'll get a lot of sympathy votes again, just because he was so funny He was so funny last night i was in tears to Juliet.I havent laughed so much for a long time.

I wonder if he is glad he wasnt voted out - I notice he skates with just one foot too ie keeping one foot on the ice and pushing off with just one foot
He is a trouper have to say that ;D

Earlier yesterday I watched the European ice dance championships - I thought the Kerrs were amazing!! They won GB a bronze, it was an excellent performance! I watched a lot of the European figure skating too - the Kerrs were very good, weren't they? Did you see the Italian who got a silver in the men's as well? - he did a wonderful themed programme to the music from Once Upon A Time In The West. I always like the ones where they really interpret the music and don't just dance to it, if you see what I mean - I suppose that's one reason why Torvill and Dean were so good. I was really cross with Eurosport on Sunday though - tennis over-ran by three and a half hours, so they only showed about 20 minutes of the skating gala! I wouldn't have minded so much if they'd said "if anyone has turned on for the skating, this is the day/time it will be repeated", but all they kept saying was "the tennis is over-running so subsequent programming will change" - I could see that! I didn't want to sit and watch tennis all afternoon, just waiting to find out about the skating gala - I had intended to video it!

Juliet I could'nt agree with you more, I was nearly going to write on the winge thread how annoyed I was. I was off last week and watched all the european figure skating, I was so impressed at how high the standard was, despite all the accidents. I could'nt belive how much John and Sinead Kerr had improved, they showed real presence on the ice, smashing and well done to them getting bronze.

I think highlights of the gala are going to be repeated at various times through the week, LNG - Eurosport's own website is worse than useless, but I looked at the Radio Times website yesterday & it seems to think there are bits of gala on - the only thing is, the programmes are different lengths, so I imagine they'll show slightly edited highlights one day and rather more edited ones on the other days - or, of course, the RT could be wrong & they're just showing highlights of some of the championships. I'd post a link to the info. but I can only get it to show with my login details, but it says: Wednesday 28th 8.45-9.45pm Thursday 29th Jan 5.30-7.00pm Saturday 31st Jan 7.30-8.30pm and if you click on any of them they say action from the exhibition event. Thought I would try to record it Thursday.

Going back to Todd - I am wondering if they have put him in to create this sort of interest - ie a John Seargent model - he is just so bad he can hardly skate but just so hilarious - cant wait for Sunday ;D

Well Todd is still in it - have to say I look forwards to his antics - he reminds me of Bambi ;D Melinda looked very pretty last night but once again in the skate-off IMO she is too gushing - she seems to be a really nice person but I think the public would warm to her more if she held back a bit Ray was like this to begin with and has now cooled down "Im 'umble Marster Copperfield" is a good ploy

;D Shame Michael left - he was very brave giving it a second go after his broken ankle last year (no sympathy the British public!) I did think he looked a bit podgy last night - p'raps thats why the laydees didn't bother voting for him? Melindas improved performance in the skate-off kept her in - but for how long??? x Tig
