Jennywren,Barbara last year he broke his ankle, he's always smiling and joking, he's a TV presenter, you'd know his face. I'm not sure what he presents but I know him to see I'm really looking forward to it. ;D

I don't think much of the line up and haven't heard of some of the so-called-celebs. It should be good viewing though, and LP is over-excited about it starting ;D

It's often that way at the start Plocket is'nt it. It's not until you start to get to know them that it becomes more fun to watch imho. I hope LP enjoys it.

Michael Underwood won a contest to present childrens tv - I'm surprised you don't all know him Nice chap anyway - some of the laydees participating are (ahem!) voluptuous ;D Suppose the chaps will be goggle eyed I might watch it - hope it delivers some genuine talent x Tig

I always think it very unfair that some of them are brill skaters to start with
For eg Chris (from Hollyoaks) played Ice Hockey and of course he came 2nd and had a head start

Well I never I thought Todd would go tonight, are we having another John Sargeant moment Ray was brill, and the rugby bloke!! Look forward to seeing who can match them from the laydees next week! Perhaps Colleen x Tig

I think Todd will be their John Sargeant Ray Quinn am sure must have had some form of skating lessons He is a bit cocky tho and needs to calm down, calm down, if the public are going to vote for him Personally I rather liked Ellery and he can skate too ;D

WE had a chat about Todd in the office today and we all felt that he was good entertainment - he is bound to come a cropper but was really funny to watch That's what it is like now in these comps - sympathy votes all round FB - Me jealous of Melinda Messenger

I'll enjoy it more as they get more experienced I think. I felt a little bit touched for some reason by Tod saying how much he enjoied the experience. I think I'm going very soft in my old age. I think he'll improve and maybe people were giving him a vote because you could see him shaking but he tried very hard. I can be much more critical of the girls I think we'll have to see how they do. ;D

LP and I watched it this evening. What a fantastic show, from the opening dance sequence to the tension of who would be in the dance-off. I liked Ellery, and who couldn't be impressed by Ray? But LP is disappointed that we won't be seeing Kristina any more - she's more impressed by the dresses at the moment!!!

I love the dresses too Plocket - but not as pretty as those on Strictly I can see where LP's pocket money will be going when she gets a bit older - FROCKS

I've a horrible feeling you are right about LP and her pocket money Jenny!
I think the skimpyness of the outfits and all the sparkles are what do it for LP. She can't resist a bit of bling!!!

I always love watching the skating but I hate the sympathy votes - it turns the whole thing into a travesty really. Todd obviously tried hard and enjoyed it, but it was unfair on Donal and Graham that they had to compete with each other in the skate off and very unfair that Graham went out when Todd was clearly so much worse.
I just wish Jason would button his lip a bit - I nearly always agree with what he says but his way of saying it does encourage the sympathy voters!
PS for figure skating fans - European championships starts on British Eurosport next week! ;D

I agree with the sympathy vote but it is all just for fun really.
I wish we had British Eurosport (sad face)

They usually do highlights on BBC2 some time - it's just a question of finding out when, as it's not exactly their priority for scheduling!
Just checked RT online - they're on Sunday 25th, from 1-2.30.

Thanks for that Juliet - I'm not sure that we'll be watching television at that time but I'll try and remember to record it for LP (smile)
