Yes Geranium. All sown indoors, the front bedroom is my 'hatchery' Thank goodness the kids grew up and left home ;D I am waiting for action in several pots of musas ..... not holding my breath though, they need at least 16 hours of light a day to germinate I also have lots of pots outside with seeds that need cold stratification, rock on spring x Tig

I'm not allowed seedlings indoors - OH says the greenhouse is the place for them. Anyway, take a look at this - I'm over the moon that I've managed to propagate my Lychnis coronaria 'Gardeners' World' which is sterile. ;D Here's one of the pots of my Penstemon cuttings - I feel really pleased that they're all rooting, as I took them soooooo late.

Well done with the lychnis! If it is from seed it will be interesting to see if it is 'true' to type or has crossed - or was it a cutting? Lovely double flowers.
Best get those penstemons potted up and feeding ;D

Well done Geranium, I love the Lychnis and grow the ordinary pink one myself. Your cuttings look like they are putting out good roots. ;D

Best get those penstemons potted up and feeding ;D x Tig The Lychnis was a sort-of root cutting, as it doesn't produce seed - so it's a clone. I'll be potting up all the Penstemons probably next week. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif

Umm..errr..nope. They're all OK, though, thanks. I really must get over there and deal with them, though! Do you know what the Lychnis is like in flower? Here 'tis. ;D

Here's the one little Geranium Mrs Kendall Clark that I've got so far and a baby Melica transsilvanica - thanks for the seed Tig. I thought it was a Molinia when it first germinated but I got it wrong.

Well done getting Mrs Kendal Clarke to get going Jasmine, I've sown some but no luck yet. I did better when I sowed them in the autumn but the winter destroyed most of them. I think I have 1 left. These are my little purple basil seedlings which I sowed the other day. They're very pretty I think.

Aren't they just. Tig has a good way of dealing with geraniums LG - a spell of about 2 weeks in the fridge. It worked wonders with splish splash last year and that's where the other Mrs Kendell Clark are going if they don't pop up soon!

Yes they're in the propagator but I'm wondering if I've mixed my labels up. I thought they were outside but then found a pot in the propagator with the label saying Splish Splash. :-/I've lost the ones outside when the greenhouse toppled over with the winds the other night.

Nearly all my seedlings are up now...just taken a few pics. The top section has a heat mat but not a "lid" so i use this to put seedlings on after they've come out of the prop...just to wean them into cooler conditions. This is the prop bit minus the lid Tomatoes in the little pots plus front right. Front rear are lupins and left are peppers Onions and lupins dahlias...they were up in 2 days Peppers germination Alpine strawberries Delphiniums just coming up

Wow Andy you are doing well, think I should sow some dahlia seeds I've got after seeing your success. I've also got some delphiniums to sow. Here are my 'baby' ricinus, I have 100% germination now, 6 of each - first borns Carmencita and the very newly emerged Impala I shall be most annoyed with Carol Klein if they outgrow the front bedroom, she did say she'd sown hers in January and I thought I was late getting them in early Feb x Tig

Andy that's very impressive, well done. Tig you've done really well, your Ricinus look like they're off to a flying start.

Tig...used to sow my ricinus in march and as long as you keep potting them on when reasonably rooted, they'll grow like mad.
never really found much difference between carmatica and impala to be honest.
Dahlias from seed are pretty easy....mine were germinated in 3 days !!!!!!!
My delphs have also come up well....hopefully the early sowing will give some flowers during the summer.

Hmph!!! Thanks Andy, I wasn't going to sow mine until March but when Carol Klein was planting some out in her garden in July she said they'd been sown in January, and the plants were not huge! Ah well, there just won't be room for much else this year as they will need potting on shortly!!!

Blimey Andy - now I know why you asked about selling plants. Where are you going to put all of those when they need potting on?

Just shows how resilient some little plants can be does'nt it Jilly. Well done. Andy it sounds like you'd need to get cracking with the greenhouse. I can see why you'd want to be selling them.
