They're lovely Jilly, I've grown them from seed and they grow well. I've got Rustic Dwarf this year.

No Ladygardener, I gave sowing Rudbeckias up as a bad job ages ago . I got 6 plug plants from (I think) J Parker, I had to search quite a bit to find Cherokee Sunset as not many people do it other than in seed form. I prefer it to the others as it's a bit taller & I like the darker rusty shades.

Not for the last couple of years Dutchy, I've been working my way through a pack of Rustic Dwarf seeds, with the option to buy seedlings if the seeds fail. They've stopped selling them as annuals at the GC over the road (frankly they've just about stopped selling anything interesting see my failed search for reddy orange Echinacea).

Jilly the Echinacea is The Artist I think and they stopped selling it as it did not survive for more than one year in most gardens. Quite a shame as it was a fab one.
Annoying isn't it? You find something you like and no one else likes it so they stop selling it. This is how so many cultivar disappear until a willing brave heart decides to build a collection and we all remember and go... why did that disappear it is lovely. Ah well human nature. Always something new to chase but we forget about the old friends.
LG I think I will see in the seed discount ( Dutch me? ) if I can find some bronze ones as I do like them.

Dutchy, I've had a look but don't have any seeds left but will certainly try to save you some if they don't all go mouldy beforehand. I've got some of the Lychnis seeds you fancied saved for you.

Ooh thank you Ladygardener. It will be interesting to see if that wants to be multicolour. When people say it will come true it should, but my suspiciously inclined me wants to see before believing. My GC still has seeds but are they on the cheap that is the question...
