Hi Dutchy
No, it's actually growing up through a magnolia and the shrub in the background is a viburnum.

That sunflower is great, after the main flower has finished ,up pop lots of little flowers, I have no idea what its called, I was given the seed by our Security guard and he cant remember ! So how do I go about saving the seeds? do I wait for the plant to totally die, or can I chop its 'ead off and take em out

SR, love pic number 3 in your set of four. They look like silver. Is it honeysuckle by any chance?
And CC, perfect composition - berries slap in the middle. Gorgeous.

They're so regal looking with their little crowns are'nt they. I thought my Nigella must be ready by now so I opened one today but they were green. How do you know when they're ready does anyone know?

I could have painted faces on them LG (King & Queen poppy ;D) The nigella seed pods go brown and dry when they are ripe, then even it the seeds are a bit green I have just put them in a paper bag to dry out.

Lovely pictures Its hard to leave things to die back naturally as it can look a bit of a mess at times, but seed heads are part of the plants life cycle and can be just as beautiful as the flowers ;D
