Same here Geranium, I got one parcel from Amazon today but unfortunately it's something to go with OH's main present (PS3 stuff) & if the HMV order doesn't come it will be a waste of time giving it to him. He's just informed me that he's waiting on 3 of mine Luckily we got each other Amazon Kindles as main pressies & they are safely here, in fact we've been using them for the past couple of weeks Might get the tree up tomorrow, if it still works, it's the same as your one Geranium, with the lights that change colour (it's black too, very chique i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/grin.gif ) If it doesn't work I will have to raid the GC over the road, all they've got atm is decs & bird food. There's been a huge problem with deliveries because of the snow. Many companies haven't been able to get their orders out of the warehouse because a lorry hasn't been able to get to them. If they are collected, they might be sat in a mail hub somewhere because the lorries can't get to the nearest delivery depots to get rid. Or they may be sat at the delivery depots who are unable to go out because of the snow.
I know there's a mail centre oop north with about 40 cages of packets and parcels waiting to go to Glasgow and Edinburgh, but haven't been able to go as yet.

Thanks Geranium, April I do feel sorry for the postmen atm, I usually sort the post when it arrives at the office unit for each different company. Was chatting with our postman the other day & he was not a happy bunny. Apparently at our local depot they've got such a huge backlog of parcels because of the snow that they are not allowed to even touch any that aren't either recorded or tracked. He said that there are loads of bouquets of flowers & live plants in that pile, just dieing i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/cry.gif & of course it's the guys doing the deliveries that are getting all the flack from customers. I've checked my other parcel from Debenhams and it's been dispatched. I'd say it'll arrive on monday. I've wrapped up some more presents now and it's looking really like Christmas in my house. I went to the Yankee Candle shop this morning and am currently burning mandarin and cranberry.

I got two 'extra' prezzies today for my daughter ... I've really gotten out of the habit of 'browsing', unless it's a GC! Must try harder - maybe not! If I could just motivate myself to start wrapping, and then maybe think about putting the tree up, possibly icing my cake ... Hmmm should do a list x Tig

I often wonder what some of the Yankee ones would be like together I've got Yankee Christmas Eve in the kitchen. We went to help a friend set up her son's Wii yesterday (OH went to set up the Wii - I went for coffee and a chat!) and she had Yankee Deck the Halls burning - that was nice too i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif

The GC over the road hasn't got either Christmas Eve or Deck the halls in stock, quite a small selection. I've got my Cinnamon stick burning along with Christmas Spice from Sainsbury's (that's a nice one, quite a lot cheaper too). Well we got the tree up yesterday, had to go & get a quick replacement as the old one's motor had burnt out (fibre optic). Luckily Homebase were selling all their's half price For my 2 little horrors the volley ball season has now commenced, you would think that at aged 8 & 9 they would have grown out of it, but no, it's a return to kittenhood i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/rolleyes.gif The routine is now, get up, search living room for missing balls, redecorate tree. Come home from work, repeat as above One year we thought they'd stopped & then found that the entire back of the tree was bare & there were about 15 balls under the sofa. Jillyx
