Is there no end to it?? Now they're digging up obscure, "ordinary people" who are relatives of Kate and making tv programmes about them!! I think we're supposed to be impressed at her "ordinariness" ;D They even had a bit about them on the 10 oclock news!! Whatever next? Leave the girl alone

I didnt bother to watch the programme about her parents last night - I think it is bad taste for them to do this reminds me of The Hamiltons They will be advertising something or other soon or doing after dinner speeches

The 'ordinary' Middletons share of the wedding bill is going to come to £100,000

Good point! Best not to think about the bill I reckon - it's obscene especially in the economic climate we're in at the moment.

I can't wait for the Royal Wedding, I think it goes to show how far things have moved on that a boy, albeit a prince can fall inlove with the girl of his dreams and marry her! I hope they can be happy with eachother and the sacrifices that they will have to make. We are having a village party to celebrate in the evening and hopefully a bbq in the day. (Yes, we will be glued to the screen!!) I know it is costing a lot, but they are royals at the end of the day and will bring a lot in terms of tourism just for people to get a glimpse. (I wish I could, and yes Auricula, am keeping my fingers crossed that my invite arrives soon, else I shall have nothing to wear!!)

Oh you're such a little romantic Chickengirl. ;D I was delighted to hear today that the local community hall has organised street entertainment and fun things for the kids. Jenny and the girls are hoping to get up so it'll be great. ;D

A little bit of romace is good for the soul ;D I feel quite sorry for them really, I bet they would rather have an ordinary quiet wedding. The cost is extreme, the security alone must be a huge part, all because of the stupid people that do stupid things As chickengirl said, the tourism side of things will bring in a fortune for us, I'm sure I heard it said that it would bring in enough to cover the bulk of the cost to us. I'll be watching some of it coz I'm a bit of a romantic tooooooooo ;D I might sit with a posh hat on in my dressing gown ;D
