Morning all from the new kid on the block I wondered about the ring too, but then thought that there may be the public engagement ring and one that is a personal gesture and private. Anyway, it's good that we all have something nice to look forward to for a change. Just wondering what hat I will wear though ;D

Hello Aurora and welcome to GWD. Did anyone watch the programme last night about them. I've watched it on catch up. I love the way they keep calling her a commoner. ;D

Thanks for the warm welcome LG and Chuckles I'm wondering when the wedding date will be. March has been mentioned + a bank holiday. Bank holidays are normally on a Monday and my birthday next year falls in March and on a Monday. If that's the case my outfit is definately settled I don't envy them though. From now until the wedding they will be hounded for every possible photo or snippet of information about them.

Just watched Kate and William - A Modern Royal Romance on catch up then found out it was on itv2 this morning They will make a lovely couple, I reckon there is something really special about her. I don't envy them at all either, lets hope the press etc give them some privacy and don't hound them to the extremes like they did Diana. I'm hat hunting already www.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&source=imghp&q=wedding+hats&gbv=2&aq=f&aqi=g5g-m2&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai= If its March we don't have much time ;D

We already have 2 bank holidays in may over here. We don't have anything called half term. I think June would be a nice time for a wedding. My birthday is in June. ;D

I think they've been told not to go for March. I think June...an extra day would go down a treat in June and often it's out best summer weather.

The Queen has said no to June because she is at Winsor and goes to lots of horse racing meetings apparently

OH that's a real shame. I was really hoping for June as we have no BH's that month. I don't think they'll wait until July you know.

Will that give us 3 BH in may then or will they use one we already have, is that what you mean Auricula. May would be a lovely time for a wedding.

One thing bothers me just a bit - they always walk along side by side but they never have their arms round each other or hold hands - is that not very royal

I'm quite tactile myself and noticed they don't hold hands too Jasmine. In fact in one clip she seemed to be hurrying to catch up with him while he was walking.

There always seems to be a gap between them. I hope they are truly happy for ever and ever but when they showed that clip of Charles and Diana being asked if they were in love when they got engaged Diana said 'Of course'. Then in that 'candid' interview she said that there had been 3 in the marriage from day one I'm not suggesting anything at all, it must be very hard being a royal in a relationship and being in a relationship with a royal.

It must certainly be very difficult for them. I think he's more relaxed about it all than she is but she's trying.
