I have this thought in the back of my head that we probably pay more for a lot of things in the SE

Usually the petrol is cheaper when I go to my sons near Heathrow than it is up here...

Hmm, might be wrong then. The best price we get is at the Circus Roundabout just before the Dartford Tunnel. We usually fill up on the way back from the In-laws.

I tend to do the same although it is cheaper at the garage about 2 miles down the road but we don't go that way very often.

I suppose they try to match the closest petrol stations...not in Tunbridge Wells though - they just charge what they like where they like and folk buy it!

It's just creeping up a penny a time each time I drive past. That will be expensive FB. I half filled our big car and it cost nearly £50

Ours jumped this week all in one big jump! Don't know if it is the final holiday of summer, or if it is just speculation, since it happened even before hurricane Isaac hit the gulf.
Hopefully after next Monday we will see it go down (our Labor Day and the end of most summer traveling).

It was £1.379/ltr for unleaded petrol at the local Esso station today which I am sure is more than it was the day before. I didn't get any then as I needed some for the lawnmower and I always like to combine the two as I would feel such a nit buying just 2/3 litres in a can.

It's back up to £1.39.9 again here.

140.9 for petrol and 144.9 for diesel at our nearest petrol station now. Dread to think what the one about the same distance but in the other direction is charging-usually about 2p more

When Labour were in power and it suited the Tories, there were protests. Now that the Tories are in power and it's not in their best interests, there's nothing. I believe Ofcom or something are looking into the price fixing though. For what good it'll do.

Quite agree,TFT,and the prices were nowhere near as high as they are now, where are all the protesters, blocking the roads, guess most of them must have been Tory voters

Does anyone have a petrol station where an attendant fills up for you - our local Shell has just introduced this and it is very welcomed by all
