With the price of petrol going up and up,it would be interesting to know what people in other parts of the UK are paying, i fill up at ASDA,and pay £1.23 .9 per Ltr,for unleaded, while most garages around here are £1.28,or £1.29. A few years ago when prices were at 90 +pence, farmers and hauliers were blocking the roads with their vehicles,in protest, wonder why they are not now,.............could it be cos they were mostly Tory voters? i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/undecided.gif

It's £127.99 at the moment up here , I don't think the price of petrol is about who's in government though FB, I might be wrong for once though,. ;D I know it's mostly tax, but I think thats the fixed part of the price, and the rest is put up by the companies, something has to be done though, we can't keep affording these prices, it cost my son £ 45.00 last week just to get to work.

Well we are not Tory voters FB but we where on the last petrol blockade on our motorway round-about but nothing gets done whatever you do, what it really needs is all motorists and not just one type of motorist. Diesel is £1.30p up here and thats at Morrisons in the village its £1.32p, I'm sure they wouldnt put up with it in France as everyone seems to stick together over there, where over here its every man for himself. I'll get down now ;D

It costs my son £50 in petrol to get to work. He'd prefer to go by train and that costs him a similar amount - but they are crowded and unreliable, and he has to get to the station Seems the public just can't win!!

I think it was £1.28 at Sainsbury's yesterday - Morrison's was the same. Our nearest garage, 5 miles away, charges £1.39. We both wait until we go into town (10 miles)and fill up at the supermarkets. Big difference, isn't it!

I actually have no idea I just fill up - nothing else can do Not many petrol stations where I live just Tesco and then Shell Well you only do about 5 mls per week,to work and back,Jen,so you wouldnt notice it Barbara, carolann, im not saying one government puts more tax on than the other, but why are the people who were protesting before, not doing it now,i suspect that they were MOSTLY tory voters, and were trying to bring down the Labour government

I don't think those big hairy lorry drivers were Tory, but they probably realise it's futile in this country to try to change anything .

The small haulage firms are really going to be suffering with these petrol prices so I'm not surprised Barbara.

I was waiting for one to start! My tank is full at the moment. I'll keep it topped up from half, rather than wait until it's almost empty, I think.

It's people doing that which causes a run on petrol Geranium Actually, it isn't, it's those old boys who fill up every day - often only putting in 5 litres at a time

But, but, but we couldn't manage without our own transport! Only one little shop 25 mins walk away, and 9 miles into town! How would I get to church, too? No buses at all here.
