Petrol round here varies between £1.27 - £1.32 !!!!! takes the pi$$ if you ask me, and on the subject of hauliers - I personally know 2 owner/drivers that have packed it in within the past week and at least 4 more that are seriously struggling :-( bad times for lorry drivers.

It must be KL, but it affects us all doesn't it, because they have to put the price of goods up to pay their costs. we should all go on strike and not buy petrol for a couple of days.

I'm not surprised KL - and it's the small family run businesses which seem to be having the worst time i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/sad.gif

Its not just the small firms - a couple of quite large hauliers are really struggling, but yes its going to affect everyone whether they drive or not because prices will rise due to the cost of fuel. The shower of shite in Westminster dont give a toss because they are minted. As usual its us "peasants" that will bear the brunt of their bright ideas. I dont think a "fuel strike" will work because folk will just fill up the day before - "they" have got us by the short and curlies really. Maybe some sort of general strike or something whereby the whole country comes to a stop - but not everyone agrees so it will never happen. We need a bit of the French attitude over here I reckon No doubt we will all just titghten our belts continue to moan and groan and carry on regardless. Personally the price rises are crippling me, Karl and I are really struggling financially and its got me really worried. Great

I just went to fill my little car up this aft and it's £125.90p at our local Tescos, with a 20 minute queue to get it! Must be cheaper than others nearby or there wouldn't have been so many people willing to wait What with everything else that is going up or being axed I reckon the country could grind to a halt without anyone going on strike the way things are going x Tig

I seem to remember the stink kicked up when petrol was about 90p a litre , people going on protest drives about it, now we just moan about it. we really do just accept bad stuff don't we.

I was thinking the same when it got to 116.9p Barbara, "Where are the protests now then?!"
There's a group saying that we shouldn't fill up with fuel on the 1st April to "teach them a lesson". Erm, no, that won't work. You'll still be buying the fuel so who's going to lose out?!
Peaceful protests only get disrupted by trouble makers so it seems that only disruptive ones, like the fuel blockades, will actually work any more.
