Diesel is now £1.42 at the cheapest around here...no wonder there aren't that many holidaymakers in evidence ( £1.39 for unleaded)

We just paid 134.9 for petrol. £50 for not even a full tank.

Petrol has gone down a penny here to £1.35.9 - diesel has come down too and home heating oil is being offered at a 10 week low!

Esso up the road have knocked off 3p but that still makes it dearer than your Asda FB - £1.32.9

Cheapest diesel here ( supermarket) is £1.38. Unleaded is £1.34.

When we got back from Hols there was a garage just outside Luton airport that had unleaded for £127.9...I thought that maybe petrol had gone down while I was away but no...when we got closer to home it was back up to £135.9

The supermarkets selling at £130.9 the petrol station at £133.9 they are only 50 yards apart, youd be mad not to go to the supermarket, but I see people buying in the petrol station.

Some people ( my s.i.l.is one) won't put supermarket petrol in their car. It is said to have more additives ( that's why it's cheaper) and not as good for your engine. Shell is supposed to be the best. We read that too, and used to alternate between Shell and Tescos, but we asked at the BMW garage and they said it doesn't make that much difference, and putting Shell in occasionally would be ok.........probably ;D

I saw red diesel for 99.9p last night - it was at the top of United's price board and gave me a right old shock - remember the days of 99p petrol!!
