I have too, Andy - I thought they'd be great for the front of my 'hot' border. They're up, but not ready to prick out yet.

I feel tempted by these plants too. The colour is beautiful and petals look very delicate. I just seen T & M are doing seeds and also plug plants for Silene Starburst. search.thompson-morgan.com/search?w=Silenethe starburst plant looks the same as Jack Flash to me. I wonder if the latter are perennial too?

I Googled these and most didn't mention what they were, but ine seed supplier said they are half hardy perennials

I will not put them out yet though as they are only half-hardy perennials.

Well i pricked out 14 seedlings yesterday morning but foolishly forgot to water them in and left them out all night and today in the sun. Got 8 seedlings left....just hope they pull through. Got them on the heat mat at the mo and giving them a bit of TLC

Hardly any of my seeds have done well this year - really only cosmos and some sunflowers emptied the silene compost ou as nothing ever came of them

Are you using the same seed medium as usual Auricula? Andy we've all done stuff like that at some time or other, hope the remaining ones do well for you. PJ you're going to have a great show of them this year if they do well for you.

PJ you're going to have a great show of them this year if they do well for you. LG, although I did buy the Silene seeds I've not had time to sow them so I'm hoping for a good display from the Silene Starburst plugs which are really looking good and healthy. I still have them inside by the window. In the T & M website the flowers in the two varieties look identical so I'll just have wait until they flower. Sorry not many of you had any luck with seeds.
