Thank you Nightingale - the patio clems seem to do very well considering they are all quite short.

Are they planted into the ground Jasmine or in pots?
I am hoping to get a real easy peasy one to grow as I want to cover my boiler house (or part of it).
It needs to grow in a pot so was wondering if anyone could recommend something foolproof and something that will climb quickly.

My patio clems are all in pots Nightingale but they only grow to about 4ft. One of the Montanas would climb quickly and cover an outhouse but I'm not sure if they would survive in a pot as they get so big

Jasmine that Clem looks great, do I see some good sized flower buds on your sweetpea there as well?

They're doing better than mine I must say, this has been my worst year for a while with them. Still don't have any flowers on my clems and I've nearly given up on them. They're starting to put out buds 'tho even 'tho they're group 2 and should have bloomed by now.

Some of my group 2s just died right back - Mrs C, The President, General Sikowski. The patio clems seem to be much sturdier.

The patio Clems are looking really good Jasmine, I might have to look out for 1 (or 2 ) they certainly get a lot of flower on them. Nightingale, I've got a Montana in a pot, it does restrict the size though, which is what I wanted, but you might not if you want to cover the boiler house. Perhaps 2 or 3 pots of Montana might work, you could have the pink & the white then i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif . LG you might be glad that your group 2's have put of flowering if you've had it windy. The high winds down here swung round to NE yesterday & my poor Fond Memories with her huge tissue paper flowers has been just about wrecked i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/cry.gif Jillyx

Your Fireworks is a brilliant performer Carol. Does anyone else think that the clems are doing better this year? Here are a few more of mine today ... Piilu, she's throwing doubles and singles out at the same time! Madame Julia Correvon Princess Diana and my 'recently' planted Niobe who is growing behind Rouge Cardinal on the post, and will be trained to come round and provide some continuity of flower as they are very similar .... I've still got a few more yet to flower ... ;D x Tig
