Wonderful clems, all; just wonderful. I can only look forward to when my few ones start to bloom. At the present rate they're going, I'm not expecting any blooms until sometime in mid to late June, which is a bit on the late side this year for my early bloomers. Must be all the rain we've been getting in April and May. Meanwhile, I'll just enjoy everyone's pics.

You'll be able to wow us with photos of yours TT when our early flowering ones have all gone over Geranium I thought of your post today when I spotted these freshly opened 'velvety' Rouge Cardinals and as promised the good do-er Ville de Lyon, with masses of buds yet to open ... Close up The President has huge flowers now, shame it is at the top of the arch Also spotted today the first flower on Mrs Chalmondesly (something has nibbled one of the petals!!) x Tig

That is a lovely one Geranium, sorry about your Mrs C, mine hasn't been problematic at all, unlike Elsa Spath who has wilted totally and got the chop today!! Undaunted, there are plenty of others to enjoy, here are Nelly Moser and Ernest Markham cosying up through the stephanense on the garage ... x Tig

I had to remove thirty buds from Burma Star last night, they had just flopped! Leaves look OK, so perhaps it was the bit of frost the other night Anyway, Piilu has her first flower and she is a different colour this year x Tig

Thanks LG - the last one was a real surprise - the label doesn't do the flower justice at all.

What exactly are patio clems - are they dwarf? Are they easier to grow?

Ones suitable for growing in pots Auricula, they don't grow very big as far as I know.

Most of them only grow to about 4ft Auricula. All 3 of mine have done really well. I bought 2 this time last year and Fleuri in the autumn sales. They are all in pots with penstemons.

What do they climb up in your pots Jasmine ( sorry to be so dense ) I found some fairly narrow based 4 ft obelisks. The first ones were too broad at the base and I couldn't get the penstemons in place too. Will try to get a picture if enough obelisk is showing!
