They must have - even if it's just 2 or 3 rather than the whole selection.

Crystal Fountain Look how my Crystal Fountain has changed since the 30/4 pic, looks like a totally different clematis. I love that bright green center. The colour on this photo is a bit on the pale side for some reason, it is a few shade more purple in the flesh.

That actually looks like 3 clems there Chuckles, with the blooms on the right side looking like doubles. Thanks for the close up's I do have one somewhere which just might not have bloomed yet.

Your Rebecca looks smashing Snowy. Is it quite a new plant? Tig noticed mine had got redder with age and I have to say I agree. I have bought 2 more - 1 for elsewhere in the garden and one for my sister and they don't look as red as my original one.

Its about 2 years old Jas the colour is a liitle darker than the photo but the size of the flowers are amazing.

Chuckles. I was browsing through some garden magazines in a book store a bit earlier and one had an article on clems along with pictures. One picture was of a clem named as "crystal fountain" but it was a much deeper blue/purple than yours. It left me wondering if it is the same clem, or a "different" clem with the same name. The magazine one did have that bright green centre though. It was a Canadian magazine.

What a range. I had a closer look at mine - the new flowers are darker fading to the colour in my pic.

Isn't Rebecca lovely, I must not put anymore on my wish list I think she is already on it ;D Snowy is your 2nd pic Nelly Moser. This is mine although the photo is a little on the pale side to the actual colour. Here she is growing through the seed heads of Lagoon

Amazing, Chuckles. How can they be so different and still be the same clem. What are the criteria they use for naming a clem? The one I saw in the magazine was closest in colour to the first one in the second row. The other one where I've seen some significant variation in colour/colour tones is Ice Blue. I have that one and it comes out a lot more white than blue, and I've seen some that are clearly a shade of blue. Oh well; ours is not the right to ask; just to appreciate and enjoy.

Todays offerings from Tigworld .... Multiblue - which always wants to show her flowers to the sky and my neighbour and one I rescued last year, Carnaby Nelly Moser and Ernest Markham are both in flower too, but they grow amongst the jasmine stephanense and I need a step ladder to get a decent photo Must try and remember to take a photo of Ville de Lyon tomorrow, she's putting on a smashing show again, such a good do-er x Tig
