I thought I'd start a thread for my favourite perennials, I love the way that every self sown seedling is a surprise. Here's a few of mine that are just starting. The return of the frilly knickers i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif My latest favourite that seems to have sprung out of nowhere Have had this little one for years, it's an alpine only trouble is it doesn't get many flowers I did buy this one, Black Barlow Jillyx

Love the colour of your latest favourite Jilly. I planted 3 of my aquilegias out today that I grew from the seed you sent me.

I like the look of them all Jilly. I've still got one or perhaps two left which I grew from the seeds you sent me.

What do you think of this one? I'm not sure. It's a pink Clementine Aquilegia. I think I really prefer the 'Granny's Bonnet' type.

Mine do not seem to set seed or multiply at all - nothing much does in this garden....I wonder if it is too wet in the winter months?

I used to have borders full of them, but they had to be culled to plant more penstemons (bit of a waste of time that woz!! ;D) I rescued 3 black barlows and they are just in flower, only ickle flowers though I've still got about twenty plants growing in various locations and mine self-seed everywhere, forever pulling up babies. Front garden has paler colours like these Tig
