Rony I'm comparing value here, how many shoots per pot did you get, In my Hubbys choice we got 3 stems, and the white one we got 7.

Mine were £8.50 for the 3 stems, and I think £7.00 for the seven stems. I think the 3 stems is a thicker stem.

Mine varied in price according to the rarety of the variety. Hyperion was the cheapest at £4.50, then House of Orange at £7.00, Hot Wheels at £10.00 and Cerulean Star at £12.00 -the last 2 not cheap at all, but hopefully worth it.
I decided that as Apple Court had proved themselves reliable, I'd submit another order: Berlin Tallboy at £7.00, Christmas Is at £5.50, El Desperado at £8.00, Frans Hal at £3.50, Trahlyta at £7.00. 2 quite cheap, I'd say, and 3 average.

That seems reasonable Rony, especially if they are healthy plants when they arrive. They do seem to bulk up quick once you get them in. I could do with a few more in the front garden, they seem to be able to cope with almost all conditions, including the 'neglected, unwatered, desert' that is my front! I'd POTM 4 for the plum one with the astilbes Barbara - flowers would look lovely on a salad - plum pickings x Tig

I was gardening at school yesterday and noticed some brick red hemerocallis that need splitting - anyone fancy some if I sort them out successfully? Do you dig them up, split them into smaller sections and plant them again?

Jas they are really easy to split, just dig them up, knock the soil off and prise them apart, as long as you work around the flowering stem no damage done, don't worry if the other leaves fall off they soon bulk up again, hardy little souls they are.

I've got four, two have flowered, new one is in bud, and an older one needs splitting! No idea what any of them are called apart from the newest one Here are the two I've 'snapped' today ... This one was rescued from an abandoned garden, and has been shared to lots of friends, it does send out runners though which pop up a foot away from the parent plant! It was with the orange alstroemeria and took over the entire border x Tig
