We get quite a lot of them, but they are usually too flitty to get a photo of - this one didn't notice me lurking x Tig

My friend in the greenhouse Well I know you like to share MH but I hope you keep "your friend" on your side of the water...!! They do have lovely markings and are useful creatures but they just make my skin crawl!!! I do hope it is earning it's keep?? RF

Could be newly hatched Carol, I am seeing quite a few at the moment, I reckon the rotten summer has put them back a month I had to smile when I read an article in a local paper this week that said they'd found a 'new' dragonfly visitor to the marshes behind me ... I think I got a photo of one two years ago x Tig

And as if by magic today, one decided to do a spot of sunbathing in the garden, I dashed back for my camera and it was still sunning itself - this is one of the Migrant Hawker Dragonfly which have been visiting us for years and years .... Side view x Tig

I was doing a bit of rushing for the camera myself yesterday, saw the first Hummingbird Hawkmoth in the garden for about 2 years, they used to be quite regulars. I dont usually look at this Thread cos insects are a bit scary - to me sorry But this humming moth is lovely Jilly I love to see dragon flies when they are hoovering over the water; but at a distance ;D

A couple of bugs which I spotted - a very dark 'green' shield bug and this very leggy hoverfly - I called it Jasmine x Tig
